Russian Tea smells extremelly herbal. I position it somewhere between the aroma of dry cooking spices - sweet marjoram, basil, thyme - and that of lovage and parsley (fresh leaves), crushed in a mortar with a pestle. A bitter, yet mellow plant concentrate, slightly acute at first.
The fragrance does not smell dry, and the obvious presence of a creamy side envelops and rounds off the entire composition.
Next to the dominant vegetal element, Russian Tea includes some nuances.
One comes from the odour similar to a boiled solution of unscented homemade soap (using animal fats) dissolved in water, bordering on the unpleasant.
A second one recalls the aroma of a car tyre still valid: an emission of used rubber which has lost its initial olfactory power and now exists without disturbing too much.
A car tyre left out in the summer's heat releases, among others, a sweet odour. There is a sweet smell in Russian Tea as well, quite restrained. This lightens the bitter facet and lends a necessary small perfumy touch which maintains it in the wearability territory. And, overall, I would not call it at all a sweet scent.
Furthermore, I do not perceive the raspberry in Russian Tea (which is better for me) and I do not see it as being smoky.
The main words are the following: herbal, bitter, creamy. A very good fragrance.
My verdict: 9 out of 10.

Russian Tea miroase extrem de ierbos. Îl situez undeva între aroma condimentelor uscate pentru gătit - maghiran, busuioc, cimbru - și cea a frunzelor proaspete de leuștean și pătrunjel, strivite cu pistilul în mojar. Un concentrat de plante, amar, dar moale, puțin ascuțit la început.
Parfumul nu miroase uscat, iar prezența evidentă a unei laturi cremoase învăluie și rotunjește întreaga compoziție.
Pe lângă elementul vegetal dominant, Russian Tea include câteva nuanțe.
Una vine de la mirosul asemănător unei soluții fierte de săpun de casă neparfumat (făcut din grăsimi animale) dizolvat în apă, aproape de a fi neplăcută.
O a doua amintește de aroma unei anvelope de autoturism încă funcționale: o emanație de cauciuc folosit care și-a pierdut din puterea olfactivă inițială și care există acum fără să deranjeze prea tare.
O anvelopă lăsată în soarele verii eliberează, printre altele, și o aromă dulceagă. La fel, în Russian Tea se găsește un miros dulce, destul de reținut, care temperează fațeta amară. Aceasta îi imprimă o tentă parfumată mică, necesară, care îl menține în sfera purtabilului. Și, per ansamblu, nu l-aș numi deloc un parfum dulce.
Mai mult, nu detectez zmeură în Russian Tea (ceea ce este mai bine pentru mine) și nu îl percep ca fiind afumat.
Cuvintele definitorii sunt următoarele: ierbos, amar, cremos. Un parfum foarte bun.
Nota mea: 9 din 10.
