At first, I thought this fragrance was only about the smell of the patchouli essential oil: rough and earthy. After multiple wearings, other elements came to the surface. Now, I also get the medicinal aspect of patchouli and I love this.
Then, such an enjoyable, almost peppery, raw button mushroom aroma emerges, at an equal volume as that of patchouli's. The two complement each other perfectly.
And the final component that I smell is the amber: warm, slightly sweet and aromatic. Personally, I could have lived without it, but it fits here, I am not going to lie. It does not completely migrate the odour in the feminine realm, so that is good. I only have one complaint about it. Sometimes, this amber feels cheap, illustrating the type of sweetness that I perceive in certain low-priced perfume, and here I am thinking of Red by Giorgio Beverly Hills (the women's version), for example.
Overall, though, I like Patchouly by Etro. The next day, my clothes still release its aroma and, at this point, the amber has receded in the background, the more masculine and earthy patchouli taking the center stage. And, for the record, the patchouli in here is not dirty.
My verdict: 8 out of 10.

La început, am crezut că acest parfum miroase doar a ulei esențial de paciuli: aspru și „earthy”. După mai multe purtări, au ieșit la iveală și alte elemente. Acum simt și aspectul medicinal al paciuliului și îmi place mult de tot acest lucru.
Apoi apare la suprafață o aromă extrem de agreabilă, aproape piperată, de șampinioni cruzi, la același nivel cu al paciuliului. Cele două se potrivesc perfect una cu cealaltă.
Și ultima componentă pe care o simt este chihlimbarul: cald, ușor dulce si aromat. Personal, aș fi putut să trăiesc și fără el, dar pare nimerit aici, nu o să mint. Nu duce complet parfumul în teritoriul feminin și aceasta este bine. Am o singură nemulțumire. Câteodată, acest chihlimbar miroase aproape ieftin, ilustrând tipul de dulceață pe care o percep în anumite parfumuri cu preț scăzut și aici mă gândesc la Red de Giorgio Beverly Hills (varianta feminină), de exemplu.
Însă, per asamblu, îmi place Patchouly de Etro. A doua zi, încă îl miros pe hainele mele și, în acest moment, chihlimbarul este retras în fundal, în prim-plan rămânând paciuliul masculin și „earthy”. Și, ca să fie clar, paciuliul din acest parfum nu emană arome „murdare”.
Nota mea: 8 din 10.
