 An abstract, alcoholic, humid smell, powerfully peppery, which seems like inhaling palpable particles from the air. Encre Noire à l`Extrême appears woody but it sort of is not, not sensing any dryness at all. At the same time, there is also an odour resembling a champignon sliced in half.

The fragrance is vaguely sweet. I feel the vetiver, but it is not like the essential oil which smells of boiled carrots and celeriac. Here it is demure, devoid of warmth and plumpness, almost rough.

In this initial stage of spraying, it is clearly masculine. It reminds me of Wonderoud by Comme des Garçons which also has a peppery odour, of wood soaked in aromatic spirits; only that Wonderoud is lacking something because it feels way too simple, unfinished even. Encre Noire à l`Extrême proves to be 100 times better than that one.

After 10 minutes, Encre Noire à l`Extrême still stays woody and cold on clothes, while it already evolves where I sprayed it on skin. Therefore, it loses some of the roughess and literally becomes warmer. Concurrently, an interesting perspiration smell seeps in, which I do not reject, most likely stemming from the vetiver. Also now, the fragrance gets sweeter and assumes a pronounced aromatic character, touching this way the unisex territory.

Over time, I perceive it smoky, but in the sense of burnt soil (almost), not of smoke. The perfume remains rounded and mellow on my skin until the end.

Its intensity is fine in the beginning and even I can feel it, but falls considerably after one, two hours. If I wear it several days in a row, I reach a point where I cannot smell it on me anymore. The persistence is there, my blouse exuding the scent for days.

Encre Noire à l`Extrême smells tremendous and that is why I love it. I position Encre Noire on the second place, but at a considerable distance, and Encre Noire Sport on the third.

My verdict: 10 out of 10.

 Un miros abstract, alcoolic, umed, puternic piperat, de particule în aer. Encre Noire à l`Extrême pare lemnos, dar totuși parcă nu este, nepercepând deloc vreo uscăciune. În același timp, există și o aromă pe care o asemăn cu o ciupercă șampinion tăiată pe din două.

Parfumul este vag dulce. Simt vetiverul, dar nu este precum uleiul esențial care miroase a morcovi și țelină fierte. Aici, el este reținut, lipsit de căldură și rotunjime, aproape aspru.

În această fază de început, este clar masculin. Îmi amintește de Wonderoud de Comme des Garçons care și el are o aromă piperată și de lemn înmuiat într-o băutură alcoolică aromată; doar că acestuia din urmă îi lipsește ceva, căci pare mult prea simplu, chiar nefinalizat. Encre Noire à l`Extrême se dovedește a fi de 100 de ori mai bun decât el.

După 10 minute, Encre Noire à l`Extrême stă încă la nivelul lemnos și rece pe haine, în timp ce pe piele deja evoluează. Astfel, îi mai dispare din asprime si devine mai cald la propriu. Totodată, se infiltrează un miros de sudoare interesant pe care nu-l resping, cel mai probabil cauzat de vetiver. Tot acum, se îndulcește și capătă un caracter pronunțat aromat, atingând astfel teritoriul unisex.

După mai mult timp, îl percep afumat, dar în sensul de pământ ars (aproximativ) și nu de fum. Parfumul rămâne până la sfârșit rotunjit și moale pe pielea mea.

Intensitatea este bună la început căci îl simt și eu, dar se reduce considerabil după una, două ore. Dacă mă dau cu el mai multe zile la rând, ajung să nu-l mai simt pe mine destul de repede. Cu persistența stă bine, căci bluza miroase a parfum și zilele următoare.

Encre Noire à l`Extrême miroase nemaipomenit și de aceea îl iubesc. La mare distanță, îl plasez pe Encre Noire pe locul al doilea și apoi pe Encre Noire Sport pe al treilea.
