 The impression with which Le 3e Homme de Caron left me was straightforward: translucent hard candies with citrussy and cooking herbs flavour. But I find it hard to tell which plants are involved; I detect neither the dried tarragon leaves nor the dried coriander seeds. It is interesting because these herbs aroma makes up the dominant smell of the composition. This is a clear case of a homogenous blend where the majority of ingredients equally contribute.

I can only define Le 3e Homme de Caron by one word: aromatic.

Its sweetness is that characteristic of the candies mentioned above, meaning that it is relaxed and nondominant. The way these sweets look, namely translucent, can be likened to the odour that Le 3e Homme de Caron releases, that is laking in density. It is a masculine fragrance, even unisex.

Le 3e Homme de Caron has some not so obvious inclinations which however participate for sure to round its smell. One of these would be the easy fizziness. Another one would be the little mentholated freshness but without veering towards it in a detached manner as the scent gives off warmth. I have the feeling sometimes that it wants to be powdery, maybe even sandy, yet it restrains itself from that.

On the whole, Le 3e Homme de Caron is very pleasant. However, I find two flaws to it:

1) The intensity is weak, it radiating only a couple of centimeters away from the body. I rarely smell it on me.

2) Every time I spray it on clothes (so it is not a skin reaction), I perceive a saliva odour in the air which, no matter how faint it was, it still makes me not wanting to use this scent. It beats me what might generate it. Maybe the brand could use better ingredients?

And here comes the interesting part. I see that I accept wearing perfumes that almost recall body odour (sweat) like is the case with Cuir Andalou by Rania J. (an elegant and quality composition), but not those that lean towards other bodily secretions, which is the saliva in this case. I wonder why is that.

It is clear to me that Le 3e Homme de Caron does not rise up to the level of niche perfumery, yet it has personality, and things might improve if they could resolve the two weaknesses indicated earlier.

My verdict: 8 out of 10.

 I mpresia lăsată de Le 3e Homme de Caron a fost din prima una clară: bomboane tari, translucide, care se sug, cu aromă de citrice și de plante folosite în bucătărie, la gătit. Dar îmi este greu să spun ce plante sunt implicate în proces; nu simt nici frunzele uscate de tarhon și nici boabele uscate de coriandru. Este interesant deoarece acest miros de ierburi constituie aroma dominantă a compoziției. Avem de-a face cu un caz clar de amestec omogen în care majoritatea ingredientelor contribuie în egală măsură.

Nu pot defini Le 3e Homme de Caron decât printr-un singur cuvânt: aromat.

Dulceața este cea caracteristică acestui tip de bomboane specificate mai sus, adică relaxată și fără să domine. Modul în care arată ele, adică translucid, poate fi asemuit cu aroma pe care o eliberează Le 3e Homme de Caron, adică una lipsită de densitate. Este un parfum masculin, chiar unisex.

Le 3e Homme de Caron are câteva tendințe nemarcante, dar care, per ansamblu, participă cu siguranță la aroma sa. Una dintre ele ar fi ușoara efervescență. Alta ar fi mica prospețime mentolată, însă fără să vireze detașat către ea, căci parfumul emană căldură. Câteodată am impresia că se vrea pudrat, poate chiar nisipos, dar se abține. 

În mare, Le 3e Homme de Caron mi se pare un parfum foarte plăcut. Însă îi găsesc două hibe:

1) Intensitatea este slabă și se rezumă doar la câțiva centimetri de corp. Îl percep foarte rar pe mine;

2) De fiecare dată când mă dau cu el pe haine (deci nu este vorba de nicio reacție cu pielea), simt în aer o adiere de salivă care, oricât de slabă ar fi, tot mă face să mă abțin de la a-l mai folosi. Nu știu ce anume o provoacă. Poate nu ar strica ca brandul să folosească ingrediente mai de calitate?

Și aici intervine partea interesantă. Văd că accept să port parfumuri care amintesc puțin de sudoare, așa cum este cazul lui Cuir Andalou de Rania J. (un amestec elegant și de calitate), dar nu și pe cele care tind către alte secreții corporale, adică de salivă, ca în cazul de față. Oare de ce?

Îmi este clar că Le 3e Homme de Caron nu se ridică la nivelul parfumeriei de nișă, dar are personalitate și lucrurile s-ar îmbunătăți dacă ar putea fi rezolvate cele două slăbiciuni menționate anterior.
