Made in France.

I t smells of body milk, slightly tart, uncrushed green leaves, and dry vegetation in the vein of hay, all at once. The sweetness is almost missing, conveying it a unisex, nearly masculine character. It gives me the impression of spring and also of coldness.

One day and only for the first five seconds after spraying it, it made me think of Chanson d'Eau by Coty, a rather simple green odour.

Eau d'Ikar could have been an interesting perfume. However, I cannot come to terms with the following issues (I listed them in increasing order of importance):

- It becomes dusty on some days (if I apply it directly on the skin), which is not the greatest note that I would like to perceive.
- I like this body milk and herbal combination but there is a note in here that smells a little too common.
- I find the fragrance unfinished and somewhat diluted. It is too easy breezy for me to enjoy it. I would add at least another facet to it.

I saw Eau d'Ikar compared to Corsica furiosa by Parfum d'Empire. I kind of understand where this idea came from, namely from the dry vegetation element, but they are otherwise different. Moreover, I've never experienced a banal or designer-ish smell from Corsica furiosa.

I imagine the theme of Eau d'Ikar was this: restrained elegance. It could have worked, yet the concept was not accomplished as the third point from above shows it.

The scent fits in a crowded office or at the gym. So underwhelming.

My verdict: 6 out of 10.
