 I t smells bitter, of dried camomile, dense and slightly oily. At this stage, New Tradition bears a close resemblance to the initial phase of Aromatics Elixir by Clinique (the perfume). There is a cold and wet sensation. The fragrance sits in the unisex region for now.

This herbal scent, with the sweet facet kept rather low, is counterbalanced by the freshness of a rich soap which foams a lot. I also perceive a sheep's milk cheese in brine, somewhat sharp and vaguely sour.

The perfume evolves. The camomile and the bitterness recede and this makes it to more people's liking (or at least this is what I imagine).

If Aromatics Elixir smells predominantly of patchouli and a tad woody on its last stage, then New Tradition highlights the rose more. Sweet and humid, it smooths, warms and feminises the composition. Maybe this is the note that sort of gets me addicted to this fragrance. The rose in here follows the same path as the one from other two perfumes, Love Kills by Masque Milano and Jour d'Hermès Absolu by Hermès.

I feel a lot more patchouli if I spray New Tradition directly on skin as opposed to on clothes.

The persistence and intensity are good.

In conclusion, I would describe New Tradition as a fresher and summery version of Aromatics Elixir.

A well made fragrance.

 Miroase amar, a mușetel uscat, dens și puțin uleios. New Tradition se aseamăna foarte mult cu începutul lui Aromatics Elixir de Clinique (parfumul) în această primă fază. Senzația este de rece și umed. Parfumul se găsește în zona unisex momentan.

Această aromă ierboasă, cu partea dulce redusă la minimum, este contrabalansată de prospețimea unui săpun bogat, ce face spumă multă. De asemenea, percep o fațetă de brânză de oaie în saramură, oarecum ascuțită și vag acrișoară.

Parfumul evoluează. Mușețelul și amăreala se reduc ca intensitate și asta îl face să fie pe placul mai multor persoane (sau cel puțin așa îmi inchipui).

Dacă Aromatics Elixir miroase dominant a paciuli și puțin lemnos în ultima fază, atunci New Tradition pune accentul mai mult pe trandafir. Dulce și umed, el rotunjește compoziția, o încălzește, dar o și feminizează. Poate că aceasta este nota care îmi dă un fel de dependență de el. Trandafirul merge în direcția celui din alte două parfumuri, Love Kills de Masque Milano și Jour d'Hermès Absolu de Hermès.

Simt paciuliul mult mai bine în New Tradition dacă îl aplic direct pe piele, iar nu pe haine.

Persistența și intensitatea sunt bune.

În concluzie, New Tradition mi se pare o variantă mai proaspătă și mai de vară a lui Aromatics Elixir.

Un parfum reușit.
