What mostly intrigues me about Girl is what feels like a starchy element. It makes me think of that time when I took a bite of a crunchy green apple and my mouth filled with a floury juice, slightly astringent. I never experienced that type of apple before so I was taken aback. Having said that, I enjoy to smell this here.
The fragrance exudes to me the idea of a sunny, yet cold day of spring. It has a particular freshness and I cannot but link it to a vegetable facet, to a parsnip-like odour more precisely.
After some hours, the perfume warms up a little bit and now I imagine how a very diluted vetiver wants to come to the surface. The scent does not evolve that much and is mostly linear.
Girl has a cute "perfumy" side but the sweetness stays quite low which makes the fragrance unisex.
The overall sensation is that I am wearing an abstract creation, alive nonetheless, serene, and fresh in the way a starched shirt can be.
Girl could be considered a simple scent, however, is composed in such a way that I want to smell it over and over again.
It has absolutely nothing in common with a celebrity fragrance and, the fact that it was made in partnership with Comme des garçons, it truly shows.
My verdict: 9 out of 10.
