 First of all, I feel it is important to say that Aromatics in White has no olfactory resemblance to Aromatics Elixir. And, in spite of that, the bottles and the names of the two are almost identical. I think the reason of this situation is pretty obvious: the company made use of the famous fragrance from its portofolio in order to get Aromatics in White noticed by the public and

to ensure high sales for the latter.

Putting aside this marketing strategy utilized by so many mass-market manufacturers from the perfume industry, I must admit that I enjoyed the way Aromatics in White smelled the first time I used it. It leaved me with the impression of freshness. The bottle colour and the inclusion of the word "white" inside the perfume name certainly influenced me and these are sugestions that I hardly surpassed. Well, the scent does not smell white. The freshness that I thought I was feeling probably comes from the modest, slightly humid effervescence with a tart tendency (or maybe should I say piquant?). Clearly it has an appealing twitch.

I find it hard to depict this fragrance. I feel its warmth and it has a certain density that I believe comes from the vanilla. So I cannot speak about freshness while considering this two characteristics: density and vanilla. I did not perceive the sweetness (which, to be clear, is not over the top) right away; I became aware that it stands out in relief only after a few wearings of the scent.

Sniffing closely the spot where I sprayed Aromatics in White, I realize that it resembles Vanille&Narcisse by l`Occitane en Provence. I am referring to the same dense and smoky vanilla coupled with a narcotic and slightly tart note. But smelling it from afar, I feel that the perfume is more airy, more youthful, almost unisex, and way less sweeter than Vanille&Narcisse.

In a nutshell, for me, Aromatics in White is all about vanilla, one close to the pod's real scent, without entering the food/sweets realm.

The composition is ever so homogenous. From the listed notes, I do not get the rose. If patchouli really exists in this mixture, then the rest of the ingredients annihilated its masculine, earthy features.

This perfume is not bad. Yet, the more I wear it, the more I became conscious that has nothing to say to me. It has an abstract scent to me. As it happens, I tested it before the purchase, so it was not a blind buy. As can be seen, the first impression was not relevant. I would have accepted it if it had been at least in the same vein as Vanille&Narcisse with a toned down sweetness; that one had an animalic side (this is how it behaved on my skin) that made it really interesting.

Aromatics in White conducts itself like a robot: it fulfils mechancally its program without being able to interact with someone.

My verdict: 6 out of 10.

  Πn primul rând, mi se pare important să spun că Aromatics in White nu are nicio legătură olfactivă cu Aromatics Elixir. Cu toate acestea, sticlele și numele celor două sunt aproape identice. Motivul acestei situații mi se pare evident: firma producătoare s-a folosit de celebrul parfum din portofoliul său pentru că a dorit să atragă atenția publicului asupra lui Aromatics in White în dorința de a asigura vânzări ridicate acestuia din urmă.

Dând la o parte această strategie de marketing utilizată de multe firme de masă din industria parfumurilor, trebuie să admit că Aromatics in White mi-a plăcut cum a mirosit prima oară când l-am folosit. Mi-a lăsat impresia de prospețime. Culoarea sticlei și includerea cuvântului „alb” („white”) în numele parfumului m-au influențat cu siguranță și sunt sugestii de care am trecut cu greu. Ei bine, numai a alb nu miroase parfumul. Prospețimea pe care am crezut că o simt vine probabil de la faptul că percep o efervescență modestă, umedă și cu tendință înțepătoare (sau poate ar trebui să spun picantă?). Are în mod clar un zvâc interesant.

Mi se pare o aromă greu de descris. O simt caldă și are o anumită densitate care cred că vine de la vanilie astfel încât nu pot vorbi despre prospețime când iau în considerare cele două caracteristici. Dulcele, dar nu exagerat, nu l-am perceput imediat; însă mi-am dat seama că iese clar în evidență doar după mai multe purtări.

Mirosind de aproape locul unde am pulverizat Aromatics in White, realizez că seamănă cu Vanille&Narcisse de l`Occitane en Provence. Mă refer la aceeași vanilie densă și afumată împreunată cu o notă narcotică și ușor acrișoară. Dar mirosindu-l de la distanță, simt că parfumul este mai aerisit, mai tineresc, aproape unisex și mult mai puțin dulce decât Vanille&Narcisse.

Așadar, pentru mine, Aromatics in White este despre vanilie, una apropiată de aroma păstăii adevărate, dar fără să între în zona de alimentație/dulciuri.

Amestecul este foarte omogen. Dintre notele listate, nu percep deloc trandafirul. Dacă paciuliul chiar există în această compoziție, atunci restul ingredientelor i-au anihilat caracterele sale masculin și pământos. 

Parfumul de față nu este rău. Dar cu cât îl pot mai mult, cu atât îmi dau seama că nu îmi spune nimic. Mi se pare o aromă abstractă. Întâmplarea face să îl fi testat înainte să îl cumpăr, așa că nu a fost un „blind buy”. Deci prima impresie nu a fost relevantă dupa cum se vede. L-aș fi acceptat dacă măcar ar fi mers pe linia lui Vanille&Narcisse, dar cu dulceața redusă; la acela simțisem o parte animalică, cel puțin așa se dezvoltase pe pielea mea, care îl făcea extrem de interesant. 

Aromatics in White se comportă ca un robot: își îndeplinește mecanic programul fără să poată interacționa cu cineva.
